My fortune cookie this evening, and honesty, an answer to prayer during a long, hard, exhausting, and seemingly, never-ending, personal spiritual battle. But I thank God for his promises. I am never deserted.
Amen.

I have a prayer request. I’ve been looking for work in Minneapolis for months and haven’t found anything. It’s getting to the point were I could lose my apartment, ect. I’m starting to get really worried, but I know God can and will provide - I just need to find the right opportunity. If you would please all keep me in your prayers for my job and apartment situation. I will so very much appreciate it. God is bigger than all of this and I’m trying to keep the worrying at bay and work hard and pray, but I am nervous. Your help is more than appreciated. I am so grateful to have such wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ whom I’ve never even met; how wonderful and strong the Kingdom of the Lord is.
If any of you need prayer in return please let me know, I’d be more than happy to listen and pray for you.
Thank you all so much.
God Bless,
Amanda

still the most amazing testimony i’ve ever heard
1. He is God not man
Numbers 23:19a (KJV) says, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent…” Man does not always have full control of his circumstances to keep his words all the time but God does
2. He is a Promise keeping God
Psalm 89:34 (KJV) says, “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.” God respects covenants and His words (scriptures) are His covenants with man. God’s own part of the covenant is always constant and fulfilled. It is man’s own part that is always changing. God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
3. What He says He means
Numbers 23:19b (KJV) says, “…hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?.” Also Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” God does not play with His promises. If He said it then consider it done. God is faithful.
4. Nothing is difficult or hard for Him
Jeremiah 32:27 (KJV) says, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” No matter what your case or situation may be God can and will handle it if you trust and allow Him to take over the case.
5. He will never forget His child
Isaiah 49:15 (KJV) says, “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.” Though God has the whole world to attend to, unlike man, He will never fail to remember you and your desire as an individual. Everyone is important to Him and that includes you.
6. He will never forsake His child
Hebrews 13:5 says, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Men may forsake or abandon you, especially when things are not going fine with you, but not God. When you trust the faithfulness of God, you will see Him manifest on your behalf.
7. He has a record of keeping His words
1 Kings 8:56 (KJV) says, “Blessed be the LORD that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.” God’s yes is yes. He is trustworthy, dependable and reliable. God is faithful.
8. He is the Alpha and Omega
Revelations 22:13 (KJV) says, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” You can trust the faithfulness of God because He knows the end from the beginning. God’s word for that situation is the best because He already knows the end of that situation if you obey His word and when you don’t.
9. Faithfulness is God’s nature
Galatians 5:22 (AMP) says, “But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,” The faithfulness of God is sure and certain. God can’t help being faithful because it is His nature.
10. He cannot deny Himself
2 Timothy 2:13 (AMP) says, “If we are faithless [do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself.” For His name sake, He will show Himself faithful. God will not because of the actions of men deny Himself as a faithful God.
In conclusion, God is faithful now and forever more to fulfil His word in your life. There is nothing impossible with God. With men it may be impossible but with God all things are possible, Matthew 19:26. Therefore, trust in the faithfulness of God and you will see His glory upon your life.

A few pictures from my Mexico Missions Trip to Monterrey, Mexico.
I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to go on a missions trip to an orphanage in Mexico for 10 days. I wanted to post a video about how this came to be, as the events leading up to me being asked within the last 24 hours are pretty amazing, yet I am running out of time as I leave tomorrow today at 8 am!
I just want to say now, that God works in mysterious, beautiful, and utterly astonishing ways if you open your eyes to see, and offer yourself up wholly to work for him. I am so thankful for this opportunity, and I hope it simultaneously humbles me and helps me to grow in my faith with Jesus Christ.
As far as I know internet will either be scarce or non-existant, so I will do a huge update upon my return. To my christian followers (or any followers really, if you feel so inclined) would you please say a prayer for myself and the 10 others going on this trip? I would greatly appreciate it.
I’ll be missing you all in Mexico! xo

So, I’ve been making a commitment to really act more Christ like and rely on God to take care of me. I have a habit of being excessively self-sufficient and becoming anxious over things I feel like I won’t be able to take care of on my own. I was reading my Bible the other day and came across these few verses in Matthew 6 #’s 25,26,30,31 & 33:
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 6:25
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 6:26
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 6:30
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 6:31
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and these things shall be added unto you. 6:33
So breaking old habits, slowly but surely, tonight I was out with my roommate and I had/have very little money, especially very little in cash and I had to take the bus and buy two tickets over the span of time we were out. Anyways, I had just a few dollars and I have bills that will basically eat all of the rest of my money when I pay them tomorrow.
I was propositioned by a man outside of the drugstore who told me he was trying to buy his medications and asked if I had any cash to give him, his medication cost 9 dollars and he didn’t have it. I told him I needed money for the bus but I could give him a dollar, he said he had bus tokens, but I withdrew from the offer of giving him my money in exchange (I should have in hindsight, I felt bad for not trusting further). Now, I don’t know if he used that money for medication or not, many people might call me a fool, but I gave him the money anyways and went on my way.
Waiting at the final bus stop on my way home with my roommate a man came up and asked if he could have an “Emergency dollar”. I didn’t ask what the emergency was, and he didn’t clarify, but I gave him the last dollar in my wallet in the back of my mind I was trying hard to ignore my cynical self and say a sort of “well, there we go, Jesus”.
Later on I got home and was putting away the few things I got, when another roommate of mine whom I split the internet bill with decided to pay me early. For no reason, completely out of the blue. She surprised me to say the least, seeing as generally getting her to pay her part of the bill is like pulling teeth, and she’s always late. She just walked right up to me and said “Here you go” - gave me 40 dollars and that was that.
I was astonished. Sadly it’s nothing you can really share to it’s full depth with 3 roommates who don’t believe in Jesus Christ, and I’m sure to most people this seems like nothing, or just happenstance, but it was huge to me, and it softened my heart so much. I trusted God and he took care of me; took care of me BEYOND my expectations, and it only took two tiny gestures on my part to paint such a clear picture.
God is so good.
